Grub Control

GrubsIf you are an avid gardener, you already know the dread of finding grubs in your soil. And your healthy lawn looks like a great snack to them! This beetle larva eats the roots of your grass to fatten up, and as your roots are destroyed, so is your pristine turf.

Signs You Have Grubs

Grubs are white, C-shaped creatures that have soft bodies and legs near their head. Finding multiple grubs is a sign of a problem. Other signs include:

  • Brown patches that never turn green
  • Irregularly shaped dead patches (when you are already taking good care of your lawn)
  • An increased presence of birds, skunks, armadillos, raccoons, and moles, who eat grubs and will tear up your lawn to find them
  • Spongy turf

Shades of Green Lawn & Landscape Provides Grub Control Services in Indiana.

It’s okay for lawns to have a few grubs; it’s when the insect becomes too concentrated that it’s a problem. Shades of Green Lawn & Landscape can come and determine if your grubs have gotten out of control. Some of our lawn care packages include grub control treatments, in which we apply a pre-emergent grub preventative solution to keep your lawn grub free. We are also happy to treat on an as-needed basis.
