What's different about lawns in Attica?
Attica sits on older, worn soil, a lot of it on slopes where rain runs off before it soaks in. Add a climate that goes from bone dry to flooded in a week and you get thin grass, bare spots that won't fill, and weeds every time you mow. Most Attica customers call us after trying it themselves for a couple of seasons. The fix is the same everywhere: feed the grass through the season, stop weeds before they sprout, protect the roots from insects, and relieve the compaction in fall with aeration and seed.
What lawn services do we offer in Attica?
Fertilization and weed control
Custom-blended fertilizer for high-pH Indiana soil, a two-part crabgrass program, and broadleaf treatments for dandelions, clover and thistle. Every 4 to 6 weeks, March through November.
Aeration and overseeding
Fall core aeration opens up compacted soil, and we seed right into the holes with a tall fescue blend built for Indiana. Between August 15 and the end of September only.
Grub, insect and disease protection
One late-spring application stops grubs, billbugs, chinch bugs and armyworms through fall. Technicians also watch for brown patch, dollar spot and red thread on every visit.
Outdoor pest control
Mosquito, flea and tick treatments for the yard, and a perimeter barrier for the house. Five visits a season from mid-April.
Sprinkler and irrigation service
