What is perimeter pest control?
It's a barrier sprayed around the outside of your house: 3 feet up the foundation and 3 feet out onto the ground, with extra attention at doors and windows, where most bugs get in. Insects that cross it don't make it inside. It's exterior only, so there's nothing sprayed in your living space and no one needs to let us in.
What bugs does it keep out?
The crawlers that show up in basements, bathrooms and kitchens: ants, spiders, earwigs, crickets, centipedes, beetles and silverfish. It is not a treatment for termites, bees, wasps, mice or anything already nesting indoors.
How does the service work?
Five treatments a season
The barrier wears down with rain and sun, so we reapply five times, starting in mid-April. Fall treatments matter most, because that's when insects look for a warm place to winter. The blog post "How Many Rounds of Perimeter Pest Control Does Your Home Need?" explains the schedule.
You don't need to be home
The technician treats the exterior and leaves a flag so you know it's done.
Give it a little time
Bugs already inside have to die off or leave on their own, so you may still see a few for a while after the first treatment.
Will it get rid of bugs already in my house?
Not directly. Perimeter control stops new insects from getting in. The ones inside now will fade out as they can't be replaced, but if you have an active indoor infestation, you'll want an indoor pest company for that first. We'll tell you if that's what we think you need.
